Brian Foster co-founded Baybridge Properties in 2010 with Brett Griffith to leverage each of their respective talents and expertise in real estate development. With his past track record of raising and placing over $100 million in private equity, Mr. Foster is ideally suited to implement a range of financial strategies to support their development projects. He has extensive experience in working with private investors, financial institutions and institutional investors, allowing Baybridge to raise successfully the needed capital to fund their development projects. Prior to Baybridge Properties, Mr. Foster was a principal at Mortgage Capital Advisors, where he sourced $50 million in private equity capital and subsequently directed those funds into various real estate assets. Concurrently, Mr. Foster was also a managing principal with America’s Funding Group, Inc., a full-service residential mortgage company with $600 million in originations and over 60 employees. He successfully negotiated the sale of America’s Funding Group, Inc. to a local Washington, DC savings bank in 2001.
Mr. Foster also has direct project management experience having recently managed the development, construction and rehabilitation of multi-family rental units and previously overseen the planning and development of Wakefield Plantation, a large residential development and golf community (Tournament Players Club facility) in Raleigh North Carolina. At Wakefield Plantation, he not only managed the development of 2,200 single-family residences and 1,000 rental apartments, but he also arranged the financing (debt and equity) necessary to complete the project. Throughout his career, Mr. Foster has capitalized on his unique skills in negotiating and closing financial transactions. His ability to drive the financial side of major real estate developments is an important strength of the Baybridge Properties team. Mr. Foster received a Bachelor of Science from St. Francis University in Business Management and Quantitative Methods. He also studied at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in their MBA program. He currently lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his family.
